Bernard Weber
September 22, 1920 ~ August 14, 2011
Bernard Weber, 90, of Faulkton and formerly of Seneca, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 18, 2011 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Seneca with Father Joji Itukulapati, celebrant. Burial followed at St. Boniface Cemetery, Seneca. Visitation was held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Luce Funeral Home, Faulkton with a 7:30 p.m., wake and rosary service at the church in Seneca.
On September 22, 1920, Bernard was born to Joseph and Emma (Artz) Weber on the family homestead in Ellisville Township, south of Seneca, South Dakota. He was raised on the homestead and remained there until he moved to Faulkton in 2008. On February 22, 1943, he married Regina Herman in Bowdle, South Dakota. This union brought two sons, Rodney and Thomas.
Bernard was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Seneca and in 2008, St. Thomas Catholic Church in Faulkton. He served many years on township and church boards. Bernard’s life was enriched with spending time with his family.
His memory will be cherished by his sons: Rodney (JanEtte) Weber of Phoenix, AZ and Thomas (Kathy) Weber of Seneca; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one brother, Leon Weber of Faulkton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Regina in May of 1995, two sisters and four brothers.
Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Bernard’s arrangements.
