Jerome Anglin, 73, of Faulkton, passed away, Friday, October 05, 2007 at the Faulkton Healthcare Center.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00a.m., Monday, October 8, 2007 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Faulkton with Father Joji Itukuleapata officiating. Burial was in the Miranda Cemetery with military honors, directed by Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton. Visitation was 1:00-5:00p.m., Sunday, October 7 at the Luce Funeral Home with a 7:00p.m. wake service at the church.

Jerome K. Anglin was born July 11, 1934 in Orient, SD to Delbert and Elizabeth (Clement) Anglin. The family then moved to Faulkton where he attended school.

Jerome enlisted in the United States Air force in 1951. After the service he worked for Muehl’s Bakery in Faulkton and then the Faulkton School as a custodian and bus driver. Jerome later worked at the Miranda Elevator until poor health forced him to retire.

On October 5, 1957 he married Georgia Stammer at Pierre, SD. Jerome was a member of the Rockham American Legion, VFW and Disabled American Vets. In his spare time he was an avid Twins and Vikings fan.

Left to cherish Jerome’s life are his children: Greg (Jeanette Grau) of Aberdeen, Carol (Brent) Schilder of Faulkton and Jeff (Doreen Wubben) of Sioux Falls; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; Siblings: Ramona Potter of Washington, Robert “Lefty” (Frankie) of South Carolina, Marlene (Ed) Meier of Tennessee, David (Kay) Anglin of Washington, Charlotte (Lee) Pearson of California, Richard (Carol) of Arizona, Carolyn (Walt) Kaiser of Faulkton, Linda (Cliff) Bohman of Minnesota and Dianne (Carlos) Castro of New Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his wife; sisters, Nadine Lambert and Janet Kukrall and brother Jim Anglin.

  1. I extend my condolences to the family of Jerome at this time. I was saddened to hear of his passing. I can still remember when Jerome married my cousin. I was attending Centerville township school and she was my teacher. God Bless you. June Anderson

  2. Sorry to hear about Jerome Anglin.
    Gesina Grotewold Anglin was a sister to my grandfather Frank Grotewold. The Grotewold’s lived in Fayette Co., Iowa and then moved to Larchwood, Lyon Co., Iowa where Henry and Salome are buried.
