Donna Hagenlock, 79, of Gettysburg, died, Monday, August 20, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gettysburg with Fr. Jerry Kopel officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.  A prayer service began at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the church with visitation one hour prior.

Donna Weber was born February 11, 1933 in Gettysburg to Sylvester and Ruth (Cook) Weber. She attended country school and St. Liborius Catholic High School in Polo, SD.

Donna returned to the farm near Seneca, helping with chores, and she also worked a couple of years at the Windsor Hotel in Gettysburg. On June 2, 1951 she married Del Hagenlock at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gettysburg.

She spent the remainder of her life being dedicated to her husband, children and home. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and cooking.

Donna’s life will be treasured by her husband Del of Gettysburg; her children: Marie Hagenlock of Portland, OR and Richard Hagenlock of Los Angeles, CA; one granddaughter: Sasha Hagenlock of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Margie Vujnovik; and her half siblings: Bernadette Klaus, Levora Palmer and Marshall Weber .

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia; and one brother, Marvin.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Donna’s arrangements.
