Harold L. Henry, age 76, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013, at his home in Gatesville, Texas.

Harold was born in Roby, Texas and moved with his parents at age 12 to a farm south of Seneca, South Dakota. He returned to Roby, Texas for his senior year of high school and graduated in 1954. He and his father were very seriously injured when their small plane crashed near Wecota in December 1954. They spent six months at the Mayo Hospital and Clinic in Rochester, MN. He entered the US Army in 1959 and was honorably discharged. He married Lois Kittelman on February 4, 1961 in Gettysburg. He worked hard on the family farm, and held various offices in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Seneca. In 1990 he moved to Sioux Falls and later to Gatesville, Texas.

Harold is survived by his son, Dallas (Lorie) Henry of Highmore, his daughter Debra Berner of Watertown, and his grandchildren, Morgan Berner, Lucas and Denver Henry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bun and Ruby Henry.

Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Harold’s arrangements.

  5. Our condolences on your loss. Harold stopped by here to see my husband and me several years ago. At that time, he was in Texas in the winter and South Dakota in the summer, if I recall. My mother, LaVonia Smith Reed, and Bun Henry were cousins. I have sweet memories of Aunt Pearl! Again, our sympathy.
