M. Gary Rivenes, 66, of Onida, passed away, Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre.
It was Gary’s wishes for there to be no services.
Marvin Gary Rivenes was born December 12, 1946 in Pierre, SD to Marvin and Dorothea (Vader) Rivenes. He attended South Morton Country School and graduated from Agar High School in 1964. He went on to attend one year at SDSU and graduated from Watertown Business University in 1967.
In 1967 he moved to Colorado and then lived in California from 1977 to 2004. In 2004 Gary moved back to South Dakota to help on the family farm and care for his mother.
Gary is survived by his son, Wayne Rivenes of Elkhart, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his longtime girlfriend, Ellen Henderson.

Wayne and Family,
So worry about your Dad! He was a a Rivenes through and through. I will miss hs chuckle and humor.
He is at peace now and hopefully you will find peace as well!

So sorry to hear about your brother, Gary. He was much younger than I so I didn’t know him very well. My brothers probably knew him better. Our prayers are with you and your families.
