Zane Rinehart
August 14, 1989 ~ March 9, 2008
Zane Rinehart, 18, of Highmore, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 near Pukwana.
Funeral services were held at 11:00a.m., Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Hyde County Memorial Auditorium, Highmore with Pastor Jenene Earl officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation was held from 6:00-7:00p.m., Wednesday, March 12 with a 7:00p.m., prayer service at the Auditorium.
Zane Lowell was born August 14, 1989 to Randy and Dawn (Aronson) Rinehart in Pierre. He lived his short life on a ranch in south Hyde County. Zane was two months short of his high school graduation from Highmore. He was looking forward to tech school, taking auto mechanics and auto body. Somehow along the way, he acquired a passion for cars and ironically, in a split second, that is how his life ended. He will be remembered for his quick smile and wit. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and cars.
Zane’s memory will be cherished by his parents, Randy and Dawn of Highmore; sisters: Jamie of Apple Valley, MN and Sammie of Chadron, NE, and brother: Buck of Gillette, WY; grandparents: Lowell and Frankie Rinehart of Highmore and Herb and Charmaign Aronson of Chamberlain; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his Kitty.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents and dog, Levi.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials.
Pallbearers were Jeff Ellsworth, Tyrel Ellsworth, Mork Norman, Tate Hanson, Bob Woods, and Cole Rinehart.
Organist was Katherine Hieb, soloist was Robert Bawdon and musical selections were, "How Great Thou Art", "Amazing Grace", "Children of the Heavenly Father", and "In The Garden."
Ushers were Steve Gadd, Dan Pekarek, Jason Pekarek, Kevin Gallagher, and Kurt Hieb.
Guestbook attendents were Marilyn Hanson and Nancy Kutz.
Luze Funeral Home of Highmore was entrusted with his arrangements.

I am very proud that Zane was one of my wrestlers and will cherish all the jokes that he would tell in practice and the time we spent together. Seeing him would always brighten up the end of my day and he made our trips to meets memorable. Rinehart family my thoughts and prayers go out to you.
I wrestled with Zane, and I am proud to have known and wrestled with him for the short year that I knew him. I could have never wished to meet a better person and zane was one of the best friends a person could have.

Zane is one person who always knew how to lighten up a room, he always had something to say in any situation.
He was great at being bluntly honest, and I immediatly loved how he accepted me for who I was. He was a great friend and so easy to talk to, and any time was a great time with him . .

Zane was a good friend and could always make a boring situation interesting. As the wrestling team captain I can say that wrestling would have been much more boring with out him. He will be missed much.
Zane was a terrific guy. He always knew how to cheer someone up when they were down. He always had some crazy story to tell or some wierd voice that he would use to make us laugh. He will be dearly missed. Everyone in Harrison will always hold his memory close to our hearts. Words cannot express the sorrow that I feel for his loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. We will miss you Zane.
Zane was one of my great friends. He was great to be around and I will miss him very much.
Zane, even though I only knew you for a year, it seemed like i knew you all my life. You always found a way to make people laugh no matter how rediculious it was some times. You made my junior year in high school a blast and i was even sad when you did not come back to school here for our senior year. You will in everyones hearts forever and everyone misses him dearly.
Zane, you will always be in my heart. We shared so many great memories at Sioux County High, and if I was going to say all of them, I could write a novel. I will never forget you, and I will always remember the last time I saw you when you came up for my homecoming.
I will never forget your smile or laugh. I will miss our long conversations till 1 in the morning, and getting emails from you.
You were always looking for a good time, and I will always remember you.
You took a piece of my heart that will always be yours. I wish I could have been there with you, and see you one last time.

It was just Saturday night that i talked to him and told him to be careful. We talked about the old times we had together and planned on stuff for easter. Hey I am so sorry for what has happened. when I got the news I felt down I can only imagine what you are going through. I feel bad that after I moved I never really got to talk to Zane the last time was at that wrestling turniment. Well no matter what I can alwas remimber all the times me and Zane played farm in your basement, your garden, at 4H, on the bus and at recess. I still remimber when I went fishing with you guys. Evan tho I am so sad i can still smile at all the good times me and zane had.

I met Zane the last time i was home on leave, and there was never a dull moment when he was around. He always had some antic that we’d laugh over or some prank we’d try and pull, but all in all he was a good kid.
Currently I’m deployed to Africa, and I heard about his passing out here, and I send my deepest condolences to his family and people who were close to him. Although his time here on earth was short, he will have life everlasting in our hearts and our minds.

Zane was a great person. He was always ready to do something and he was always joking and jummping around. I will always remember in American History he always wanted to say the awnser but Mr. Ring will have a other student say the awnser and Mr. Ring will say Zane bite your tounge, Zane don’t say it and zane will get this face were he has to say something. So sorry to hear about Zane. I would have been there for you all if I would have known. But as you know with our two family’s problems the two eldest siblings didn’t care enough to tell Ross, Roxanne or me. From what I heard what you all have planned for June 22nd will be a wonderful tribute to Zane’s life. I feel for you all and you all know that I know what you are going through. I will do every thing I can and be there with you all in June.
You never stop missing them and when you do miss them just look inside your heart and there they’ll be. It works everytime.
I got some great advice after Matthew’s death. It was simple but true. Don’t try and make since of what happened to Zane or why it happened. There is no making since of any of why things like this happen, if you try it will just make you crazy. So don’t go there.
It was just a horrible accident and if he could have that moment in time back he would make sure he made it home that night.

Hey everyone! Zane was an amazing guy! i only knew him for a year and a half and he captured my heart and never let go. I can’t believe he’s gone. It still does not seem real. I miss his smile, and laugh, he was always so happy and could bring a smile to my face when I was crying about something completely rediculous. I am so sorry for the loss of your son Zane. I know only too well what it is like, and it is not getting any easier. I wish I could help you but I can’t even help myself right now. I would love to come to the ranch in June. I will hopefully be talking to you soon. I can’t believe Zane is wearing a Dukes of Hazzard shirt.
