Gail Dunn

Gail M. Dunn, 50, of Big Bend, joined her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 20, 2013 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Big Bend.  Burial followed at the church cemetery.  Two night wake services were held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18^th and Wednesday, June 19^th at the church in Big Bend.

Gail “Gabes” was born March 29, 1963 to Richard and Eleanore (Howe) Dunn at Chamberlain.  She attended school in Harrold.  Gabes loved playing cards and listening to music with her friends.  She lived her entire life in Big Bend.  Many nieces and nephews viewed her as a mother figure in their lives.  Gabes was a very humble person; living a simple life.

Her memory will be cherished by her parents, Richard and Eleanore Dunn of Big Bend; brothers: Dale, Ambrose, Anthony and Chase Dunn of Big Bend; sisters: Elaine and Bonnie Dunn of Pierre; special friend, Vic St. John of Big Bend; niece, Jodi Dunn; and nephews: Matt Dunn, Adam Touche, Andy Big Eagle and Clay Big Eagle.

Proceeding her in death was her brother, Gordon; maternal and paternal grandparents; and cousin, Jason Howe.
