October 17, 1952 ~ July 29, 2013

Randy Louis Christopherson, 60, of Miller, returned to the side of his beloved wife Mary when he passed away at home Monday evening, July 29, 2013.

Graveside service was held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, August 2, 2013 at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery, Miller.  Visitation was held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 1, 2013 with a 7:00 p.m. sharing of memories, all at Reck Funeral Home, Miller.

Randy, the son of Tilman and Joyce, grew up in south Hand County and graduated from Miller High School.  He met the love of his life, Mary Carol (Arth) Christopherson, in Miller in 1974 and made the best decision of his life in marrying her just a few months later "before she could find out what I was really like." Randy loved trucking, collecting horse-drawn implements, tractor pulling, and tinkering in his shop.

He is survived by three children, Matthew (Amy) Christopherson, Michael (Corinna) Christopherson, and Nicole (Joshua) Biever and six grandchildren: RyLeigh, Carter, Katelyn, Emily, Elizabeth, and Caroline Mary, who will miss "Grumps."

Randy joins in death his wife, his parents, his older brother Edwin, and his "cowboy baby brother" Noel.

Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Randy’s arrangements.  .

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I am so sad to learn of the loss of your father and grandfather.

I am sorry that due to previous, unchangeable appointments, I can not make it to his memorial service.
My thoughts, sympathies and prayers are with you all.
    Nancy

  2. My deepest sympathy to Randy’s family. It was obvious how much love your mom and dad shared and now they are together again. I keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

  3. My heart goes out to you. You have had to say Good-Bye to both mom and dad too soon. I remember hearing about how they danced in the kitchen when your mom was so ill — I can’t help but thinking of them dancing in Heaven now instead. 🙂 My prayer is that you will find comfort in each other and the strong family bonds they gave to you. God Bless, Deanne

  4. Our deepest sympathy goes out to you Matt, Mike & Nicole and your families on the loss of your Dad. Your parents were two of the best people ever! I was in high school with your dad. Pretty much kept to himself but always had a nice smile & well mannered. Met your mom at a dance right around the time we got married. (1974). Same year they were married! Always enjoyed working with your mom at school. She was a real firecracker! We always had a good laugh! Had a nice visit with your dad last winter in Tucker’s. He told me how frustrating it was not to be able to crawl up in his truck and drive. I gave him a hug and tried it cheer him up. He smiled and thanked me. Always remember the good times with your parents & keep their memory alive in your children. Prayers to all of you…Sincerely, Debbie, Melvin, John, Reno, Eric & Mat g
