Zach Glaesman
August 2, 1993 ~ June 7, 2008
Zach Glaesman, age 14, of Gettysburg, passed away, Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
Funeral services were held at 10:00a.m., Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Gettysburg High School Gymnasium with Pastor Michelle Rowell officiating with burial following at the Gettysburg Cemetery. Visitation was held from 2:00-5:00p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Luce Funeral Home in Gettysburg with a 7:30p.m. at the High School Gymnasium.
Zachary (Zach) Steven Glaesman was born on August 2, 1993 in Pierre, SD to Steve and Nadine (Jaragoske) Glaesman. He lived his entire life in the Gettysburg area.
Zach loved hunting, fishing, watching football, listening to music and hanging out with friends. While in school, he enjoyed football, wrestling, track and basketball. He was also involved in FCCLA.
When Zach turned 14 and got his drivers license, his request was to be an organ donor. Knowing his parents weren’t in favor of this, his words to them were, “Why shouldn’t someone else live if I die very young?” Because of his caring and generous spirit, four people continue to live.
He is survived by his parents, Steve and Nadine of Gettysburg; two sisters, Amy (Dallas) Almond of Huron, SD and April (Jayson) Drake of Tea, SD; two nieces, Whitney and Macey Almond of Huron; two nephews, Ayden Almond of Huron and Matt Drake of Tea; grandmother, Ethel Jaragoske of Gettysburg and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Zach was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Al and Inez Glaesman and maternal grandfather, Robert (Buster) Jaragoske.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Zach's arrangements.

I know Zach has passed to a much better place. I just wish he could of gave me a chance to say how much i love him and how i enjoyed having him as a friend.
Steve and Nadine~ I am so sorry to hear of Zach’s passing. Living so far away when things like this happen, makes a person think of growing up back home. Zach was just a little child the last time I saw him. I hope that you can find comfort in friends and family back there in Gettysburg during this time of sorrow.

Although I personally haven’t seen Zach in a long while, I will trulely, greatly miss Zach. I just wish I could’ve been with him one more time together having fun like we used to. I am sorry for your loss, Glaesman family.

I am really sorry! Zach was one of the funniest,nicest,and entertaining person i ever met!!! In a way Zach helped me with just about everything i went through over the past 2 years i have known him.
