Pierre was Bev’s home for 34 years where she made many lifelong friends. While in Pierre she was a tutor for special needs children within the Pierre school system. She also enjoyed working as a volunteer at the Hospice store. She was a member of Lutheran Memorial Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Her hobbies included camping, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children: Linda (Steve) Zeigler, Gary (Vicky) Russell, Francie (Jerry) Alumbaugh, and Michelle (Bob) Hopper; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; her in-laws: Yoko Rickard, Ken and Darlene Tonsager, and Eileen Russell; and many nieces and nephews.

Bev is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents; and her brothers: Don and Doyle Rickard.

The family especially wants to thank Ellen, Darla, and Mary who were Bev’s Miller hospice angels.
