Donna Nielsen was born to the late George and Margaret Nielsen on March 26, 1938 in Miller, South Dakota. She grew up on the family farm and married the late LeRoy Campbell in 1954. They lived together in the Hand County, South Dakota area for most of their married years. Donna was a farm wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked outside the home at times but considered her family to be her lifes calling. Donna was a great gardener, planting a huge garden each year on the farm. She loved canning, baking, cooking for her family, and always seemed to have extra guests at her table during her farming years in South Dakota. Her work ethic served as a role model for her children.

Donna moved to Harrisburg, Oregon in 1997 where she resided for the next 14 years in her home next door to her oldest daughter, Sheila. She loved the Willamette Valleys abundance of fruits and vegetables and made wonderful jams and jellies each year. She enjoyed her flower garden and watching the birds outside her window at her bird feeders. She was an avid garage sale enthusiast and her children all have treasures from her garage sale outings to prove it.
