Norm also enjoyed the great outdoors; he loved to farm and enjoyed a huge garden and sharing his produce with friends. He never missed an opportunity to hunt all forms of wildlife from pheasants, ducks, rabbits and squirrel to deer, elk, bear, and moose. He knew every fishing hole in SD as well as prime places to find morel mushrooms, hunting for them every year since the 1930s. Norm enjoyed spending many summers at Docs cabin in Manitoba Canada and kept his motor home busy with other outdoor adventures. A card game of Pitch with friends or a game of Casino with his grandkids was another of Norms favorite pastimes.
Though having no biological sons, Norm has been an avid supporter of Miller athletes through the years; cheering on many aspiring boxers, wrestlers, basketball and football players. He seldom missed a Twins game and loved his K-State Wildcats.
He greatly loved this wonderful world and the good Lords beautiful scenery and his many blessings.
