Christopher Fix, 32, of Faulkton, passed away, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his home.

Memorial Service was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Faulkton with Fr. Christopher Hughes officiating. Burial of his cremated remains followed in the church cemetery.

Christopher Allen Fix was born, January 24, 1983 at Dakota Midland Hospital in Aberdeen, SD to Allen and Diane (Webb) Fix. He graduated from Faulkton High School in 2001. Chris owned and operated Christopher Fix Trucking, hauling cattle at the time of his death.

Chris enjoyed working on his truck and shining it up! He liked playing cards with his buddies and listening to country music. Chris had a deep love for his ’03 Kenworth, his ’06 Peterbilt, “Ellie”, and his Chevy Pickup. He enjoyed driving his brothers ’69 Chevy around and had plans of restoring it in the future, along with his dad’s Freightliner. He poured his whole heart and soul into his trucking business.

In Chris’ younger years he enjoyed spending time with his cousins: fishing, 4-wheeling, and helping out on his grandparent’s farm. He was known for his heart of gold and contagious smile. He made many friends while “the flames” traveled up and down the highway. He was eager to lend a helping hand in every way. Chris gave everything his all; he respected his work, family and friends. Chris would spend a lot of time talking to his mom on the phone when he was out on the road and she enjoyed riding along every chance she could. Chris’ future plans were to marry Brooke Volk and gain a special step-daughter, Miranda.

Chris is survived by his mother, Diane of Faulkton; fiancée, Brooke Volk and daughter, Miranda of Faulkton; maternal grandparents: Dude and Frances Webb of Faulkton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen in 2007; his brother, Kevin in 2003 and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Rita Fix.

Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Christopher’s arrangements.

  22. To the family of Christopher A. Fix, I’m very sorry about the loss of your loved one. I wanted to share the scriptural hope that has given me so much comfort. I hope it will help you also. The Bible shows that God did not intend for humans to suffer and die, at any age. (Romans 5:12). It also calls death an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26). God promises to remove death forever. (Isaiah 25:8). He also promises to soon restore the earth and humans to his original purpose for them. Then he will resurrect our loved ones onto a cleansed, paradise earth where we can welcome them back. (John 5:28,29; Psalm 37:10,11,29).
