  4. Maynard and Dad were such close cousins. When your Dad (Maynard) was in the VA I brought up old photo albums and we visited many nights talking about when they were kids growing up just across the field. They really enjoyed each other’s company. He talked often of walking or riding his horse or grandpa hitching up the team to give him a ride to Ree Heights. He really enjoyed it when Grandma Lottie got her Model T. Grandpa Ern would never ride in it. I am sure they are enjoying each other’s company once again in Heaven with All. Take Care. God Bless.

  14. Uncle Maynard is a person that I will never forget. These are some of the things that I remember about my Uncle, kind, caring, always wanting to know what I was doing, giving me ideas when I was wondering what to do, and fun to hunt with. There are many more qualities he had. It was a pleasure and honor to know him and call him my Uncle. Rest In Peace Uncle Maynard, your nephew Pete

  15. I have good memories of Maynard. He was such a good man. He worked in the Hand Co Court House when he got out of the military. I worked for the Huron Job Service and came to the Court House in Miller one day per week. After we got acquainted, he asked how he could get a job with Job Service. I let him know of the test that he needed to take. He took the test and the rest is history. He served the people of SD very well. My condolences to his family.
