Ruth Bialas, 94, of Parkston, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society, Tripp, SD.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society, Tripp with Pastor Tammy Cracker presiding. Burial followed in the Parkston Cemetery.

Ruth Stella Vliet was born February 15, 1921 in Mitchell, SD to Robert and Della (Law) Vliet. She grew up in the Mitchell area and attended school there.

On March 12, 1946 she was united in marriage to Bernard O. Bialas at Hillside. Together they owned and operated the Red Rooster Bottle Shop.

Ruth lived a simple life. She enjoyed her customers and evening when her friends would stop to visit. She will always be remembered for her kind heart.

Ruth is survived by many friends and family that she gained when she entered the Good Samaritan Society of Tripp on May 21, 2002. She is also survived by her nephew, Robert (Elaine) Ifland and his sons, Jeff and Bryan of Lincoln, NE; and a niece Sandy (Tedd) Grulke and their son Matthew of Farmington Hills, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Bernard on March 24, 1977 and one sister and brother in law, Margaret V. and Myrel O. Ifland.

Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Ruth’s arrangements.

A Funeral Service was held on October 13, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Good Samaritan Society, 300 N Dobson St in Tripp, South Dakota 57376
