Isiah "Ike" Iron Wing

Isiah “Ike” D. Iron Wing, 22, of LaPlant, SD was called home by God’s angels, on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at his home.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday December 12, 2015 at the Old Agency Building, Eagle Butte with Pastor Matthew Dickerson and Richard Charging Eagle presiding. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, LaPlant. An all night wake service began at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Old Agency Building with a procession from the 4 mile at 4:00 p.m.

Isiah was born April 19, 1933 in Pierre, SD to Roxanne Rosas and Mark Iron Wing. He attended school in Eagle Butte, graduating from Cheyenne Eagle Butte High School in 2011. While Ike was in school, he played the alto saxophone, receiving many letters in music. Following graduation, Isiah worked a couple of jobs. The latest one was in Timber Lake where he made a lot of friends whom he always talked about.

Isiah loved his cell phone, listening to music, driving around, and giving his sister a bad time. He touched so many lives and broke so many hearts. He was a kind, loving, caring, smart young man. His family will cherish all of those memories and never forget his crazy sense of humor, his laugh or his smile.

Grateful for sharing his life are his mother, Roxanne Rosas of LaPlant; the love of his life, his baby sister, Kobey Jazmine of LaPlant; two brothers: Jayden of LaPlant and Jalen of Eagle Butte; one very special lil’ cousin that meant the world to him, Aniyah Iron Wing; two very special twins that he loved with all his heart: Navaeh Leigh and Naleah Lynn Rosas both of Eagle Butte; and two very special grandma’s that he cherish the most, Darlene Rosas and Barbara Iron Wing both of LaPlant.

Isiah was preceded in death by his father, Mark Iron Wing.
