Stanford Fire Cloud

Stanford Fire Cloud, 48, of LaPlant and formerly of Little Eagle, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at I.H.S. Hospital, Eagle Butte, SD.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., MST, Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Church of God, LaPlant with Pastor Jason Dillard and Bill Bickle officiating. Burial followed in the UCC Cemetery, LaPlant. Wake services began at 7:00 p.m., MST, Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Church of God with a procession from the hill 1 mile east of LaPlant at 4:00 p.m., MST.

Stanford Fire Cloud was born May 7, 1967 to Christopher and Marlene (Uses Arrow) Fire Cloud in Little Eagle. He attended Little Eagle Day School and Fort Yates High School.

Stanford was a member of the Cheyenne River Fire Fighters. He was someone that got along with everyone and would help wherever he was needed.

Stanford’s life will be cherished by his wife, Darial Bowker Fire Cloud of LaPlant; sons: Stanford Jr. (Christina) Fire Cloud and Jonas Fire Cloud; daughters: Tiffany Fire Cloud (Edward), Lisa & Ricole Fire Cloud; grandchildren: Lora, Kingston and Jazmine; his siblings: Mark Fire Cloud Sr. of Cherry Creek, Lyle Fire Cloud Sr. of LaPlant, Elton Fire Cloud, Ronny Fire Cloud of Minnesota, Raymond Fire Cloud of McLaughlin, Wallace Thunder Hawk of Bismarck, ND, Carmelita Fire Cloud of Ft. Yates, ND and Emaline Charbonier of Salt Lake City, UT and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Fire Cloud; mother, Marlene Uses Arrow; brothers: Elroy, Benjamin and Curtis Fire Cloud; daughters: Sandy, Stacy & Disa Fire Cloud; grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with Stanford’s arrangements.
