Lila Loreve Hunt Deiter was born May 26, 1933 to Robert and Helen (Wakefield) Law in Faulk County, South Dakota. She lived in the Norbeck/Cresbard area all her life where she attended Stevenson Country School and Cresbard High School.
On September 14, 1952 Loreve was united in marriage to Elden Hunt. They made their home near Cresbard. Loreve helped on the farm and raised their son, Lon. Later on they opened the local laundromat. After Elden’s passing in 1980, she then moved into Faulkton, working as a nurses’ aid at the Faulkton Healthcare Center and Faulk County Hospital.
In 2000 Loreve married Delmar Deiter. The couple wintered several years in Mexico to get away from the South Dakota weather. She was a member of the United Methodist church of Faulkton and the Lakeside Country Club. It is well known that she had a great sense of humor and loved to visit! A true ‘people person’.
