Elizabeth Haberling, 94, of Miller, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Avera Hand County Memorial Hospital in Miller.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Miller with Pastor Max Miller officiating. Burial will follow at G.A.R. Cemetery, Miller. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Reck Funeral Home, Miller.
Elizabeth Mae Siegling Haberling born March 30, 1922, in Burdette Township to Edwin and Anna Petersen Siegling. She attended grade school in Burdette Township, and graduated from Miller High School in 1940.
She married Alvie Haberling September 10, 1943. Four children were born to this union. Donine Mae , Kathleen Marie, Charles A., Roger K.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Miller.
Her memory will be cherished by her children; Donine Mae Wieseler of Highmore, Kathleen Marie (Richard) Blachford of Newayo, MI, Charles A. Haberling of Miller, and Roger K. (Barb) Haberling of Miller; one sister, Marie Hargens, Miller; eight grandchildren; Darren (Debbie) Blachford, Monte Blachford, Libby Blachford (Ron) Tourte, Mark (Evelyn) Wieseler, Todd Wieseler, Corey Wieseler, Chris (Lavin) Haberling, and Kelly (fiancé Christy) Haberling; 10 great grandchildren: Sara Tourte, Tyler Wieseler, Ashlie Wieseler (Casper) Jones, Elizabeth Blachford, Kyleigh Blachford, Kathlynn Blachford, Madison Wieseler, Justin Wieseler, Carter Haberling, and Hailey Haberling; one great-great grandchild, Malachi Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Helen Labor; great grandson, Joseph Tourte; son-in-law, Raymond Wieseler; brothers-in-law: Alfred Haberling, Woodrow Haberling, Paul Haberling, Eddie Labor, and Max Hargens; sisters-in-law: Dora Haberling Holcomb, Clara Haberling Recker, Luella Haberling Haffner, Elenore Haberling Wilkins, Edna Haberling Skelton, Julleane Haberling Peatrowsky, Rita (Mrs. Paul Haberling), Jackie (Mrs. Alfred Haberling), Margaret (Mrs. Woodrow Haberling), Marian (Mrs. Alfred Haberling), and nephew Larry Hancock.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, 707 E. 1st Ave, Miller, SD 57362.




I have memories of my beautiful grandmother that will be in my heart now and forever. God blessed me with this lovely lady and now my heart is happy knowing she is no longer in pain. Until we meet again, Grandma! Love you to the moon and back.

To all of Elizabeth’s family – I was sorry to learn about Elizabeth’s passing. She was such a lovely lady and I always enjoyed visiting with her whenever I saw her.
