Dianne Aesoph
August 26, 1948 ~ July 28, 2016
Dianne Aesoph, 67, of Seneca, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.
Funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Faulkton, SD with Fr. Christopher Hughes officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. A wake service was held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 1, 2016 at the church, with visitation two hours prior.
Dianne Mary Aesoph was born August 26, 1948 to Leonard and Lyda (Geiver) Brueggeman in Faulkton, SD. She attended St. Liborius grade school and graduated from Fairview High School in Polo, SD. She worked at the First National Bank in Miller, SD for one year.
On May 9, 1967 she was united in marriage to Joe Aesoph at St. Liborius Catholic Church in Polo. To this union four children were born: James, John, Edward, and April. One of Dianne’s greatest joys were her grandchildren: Sophia and Anna Aesoph, Alexa and Mack Aesoph, Joseph, Henry and Grayson Aesoph, and Hattie and Dane Deis.
Joe and Dianne spent their life farming in the Seneca area. They retired in 2008 and continued to live on the farm. Dianne taught CCD for many years at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Seneca and also served as Altar Society President.
Dianne is survived by her husband, Joe of Seneca; children: James of Omaha, NE, John of Omaha, NE, Edward (Lisa) of Ashburn, VA, and April (Ryan) Deis of Waverly, NE; nine grandchildren; and siblings: Audrey (Derry) Hochhalter, Vincent (Maxine) Brueggeman, Gene (Marlene) Brueggeman, and Dale Brueggeman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Hattie Brueggeman.
Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Dianne’s arrangements.
