Frank Tin Cup, 72, of LaPlant, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the White River Health Care Center, White River, SD.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. MST, Thursday, February 15, 2018 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte with Mother Mikayla Dunfee presiding. Burial followed in the LaPlant Congregational Cemetery, LaPlant, SD. Visitation was held 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

Frank Tin Cup was born January 25, 1946 at the Old Cheyenne Agency, SD to William and Bernice (Yellow Horse) Tin Cup. He attended grade school in LaPlant, Old Cheyenne, and Eagle Butte High School.

Frank spent his years working for area farmers and ranchers, flagging for spray services and as a TWEP worker. He spent his free time saddle bronc riding, horse training, playing horseshoes, playing four handed whist and watching his grandkids.

He is survived by his siblings: Thurman Tin Cup, Charlene Tin Cup, and Myra Lee; his care takers: Myron Slides Off, Yolanda Waloke; and numerous nieces and nephews: Del and Sherrie Agneau, Lonnie, Arlen, Kee, Lola, Mollie, and Glenn Lee, Brian, Bill, Colter, Chelmar, Cormick, Chandler and Carmen Combellick, David Lee, Richard Tin Cup, Troy and Galen Sampson, and Owen Tin Cup.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, William and Bernice (Yellow Horse) Tin Cup.

Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with Frank’s arrangements.
