Tim Koeck, 57, of Ree Heights, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls with Lori and Joe at his side.
Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 4, 2020 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Miller with Father Paul T. Josten officiating. Burial followed at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Miller.
Timothy Francis Koeck was born October 3, 1963 to Francis and Agnes (Lichty) Koeck in Miller, South Dakota. Tim grew up on the family farm near Ree Heights. He graduated from Miller High School in 1981 with high honors. He married Lori July 21, 1990 and later divorced. They remained close friends throughout his life.
He enjoyed the farm and the lifestyle that came with it. He was a caring and generous son, friend, and uncle. He is known by many for his ability to talk and his extraordinary memory, from birthdays to someone’s wedding day; you could almost guarantee a call from Tim wishing you the very best. He always showed love and compassion, not only for his family, but for everyone he met or ran into. If you ever needed someone to make you smile, he was the man for the job.
Tim was a part of the Midland Township board for nearly 34 years and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Miller.
He is survived by his three daughters: Misti (Sid) Penmetcha, Rachel Koeck, and Sarah Koeck; close friend, Lori Koeck; granddaughter, Tessa Koeck; mother, Agnes Koeck; brothers: Paul (Sheri) Koeck, Jerry (Judy) Koeck, and Joe Koeck; sisters; Sheila Tople, Sharon (Alan) Kingsley, and Diane (Jim) Beidler; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding him in death is his father, Francis Koeck; and sister-in-law, Tara Koeck.
Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Tim's arrangements.
