Orally Bowker

Orally R. Bowker White Eagle, 58, of LaPlant, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Monumental Health, Rapid City.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., CDT, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Church of God, LaPlant, Burial will follow at the LaPlant Congregational Cemetery A wake will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 16, 2021, at the church, with a procession from the hill east of town at 4:00 p.m.

Orally Rewena Bowker was born March 29, 1963 at I.H.S. Hospital, Eagle Butte, to Jonas Jr. and Dorothy (Lee) Bowker. She was the 4^th of 11 children born. Rewena attended Swiftbird Day School where she was a cheerleader. In May of 1974, she transferred to Cheyenne Eagle Butte School. Orally received her G.E.D. in 1998.

Orally worked for five years with the Cheyenne River Head start, working as a teacher’s aide. In 1978, Orally married Raymond White Eagle and together they had three children: Delise Mae (1983), Warren James (1984), and Nicholas Ray (1987).  Three of them were welcomed by their older siblings, Roxanne (1978) and Dion (1979).

Orally loved going to church, helping with bible studies, going on church trips, and making banners. She also loved to visit with family and friends.

Orally is survived by her husband, Raymond White Eagle; her children: Dion Rosas (Tonya), Delise (Orlando), Warren, and Nicholas (Kristina) White Eagle; 20 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Bowker; siblings: Dixie LeCompte, Jerilyn, Ronnie (Doretta), Harley, Joni, Dariel, Shelly, Darlene, Lisa, and Lester Bowker; uncle, Mike Bowker; and aunts: Barbara Roach, Delma Butcher, Darlene Rosas, and Evelyn Veaux.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jonas Bowker, Jr.; daughter, Roxanne Rosas; grandson, Isiah Iron Wing; and three nephews: Shawn Brown, Royce Bowker, and Eric Scott.
