Stacy Lee Mammenga, 47, of Wessington, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 near St. Lawrence.

Private services were held.

Stacy Lee Mammenga was born December 23, 1973 in Anoka, Minnesota to Margie Mammenga and Charles Hanson.  He grew up in Staples, Minnesota, where he graduated from high school.  He attended Lake Area Tech for machining.  He proudly served in the Army National Guard for six years, specializing in generator repair.  He graduated from basic and AIT in Fort Jackson, South Carolina.  He found the love of his life and married Debra Kay Glines on October 8, 1994.  He gained three new children: Faron, Keather, and Karena.  He became the most loving and admiral dad. 

Throughout Stacy and Deb’s marriage, they enjoyed many trips.  He enjoyed vacationing, hunting, horse riding, grilling, and camping.  He loved his mama and stepfather, Curt, whom he enjoyed many amazing trips and memories with.  He loved his family, God, and his country.  He was a devoted son, father, paka, and husband.  His grandchildren were the mini loves of his life and spent every moment they could with their paka.

Stacy’s memory will be cherished by his wife, Debra; three children: Faron, Keather, and Karena; seven grandchildren; mother and stepfather, Marge (Curt) Atkisson; four brothers: Ryan, Eric, Chris, and Bud; one sister, Morgen; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud and Alma Mammenga, and Donnie and June Hanson; uncles: Randy Mammenga and Rick Hanson; sister-in-law, Amy Glines; and cousin, Mitch (his partner in crime).

Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Stacy's arrangements.

  6. I haven't seen Stacy since high school, but remember what a great guy he was. Super glad to hear he had such a full life and got to enjoy such a large loving family. I am so sorry for your loss, but am very glad that all of our lives were blessed with him in it.
