Beverly A. McCamly, 65, of Faulkton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 23, 2021, at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls. Beverly fought a long and courageous battle with polymyositis, kidney cancer and congestive heart failure.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Cresbard, with Pastor Colin Ford presiding. A luncheon will follow at the Cresbard Community Center. Burial will take place in the Cresbard Cemetery at a later date.

Beverly Paul McCamly was born April 27, 1956 to Stanley and Violet (Tribble) Paul of rural Cresbard, SD.  She was raised on the family farm where she enjoyed working in the fields, especially swathing.  She graduated from Cresbard High School in 1974.

She attended Stewarts School of Hairstyling in Aberdeen and moved to Rapid City, SD to pursue her career. 

Beverly married Rudy Guevara in 1978 and together they had a son, James.

In 1983 Bev married Jack McCamly and together they had two children, Dale (Jamie) and Janet.  They also raised together Jack McCamly Jr. from the age of 8 to 17.  Beverly continued to work as a hair stylist in Rapid City until she became disabled.

Bev and Jack lived in Texas, Wyoming and Cresbard, SD and then settled in Faulkton, SD.  In 2011 they started RVing and spending most of their time in Texas.  Bev loved crabbing and spending time with other couples they met at the RV parks. 

Bev enjoyed reading and loved playing cards.  She enjoyed raising her children, playing catch with them, attending all their activities, etc. She loved spending time with her grandchildren especially teaching them how to cook.

She is survived by her husband Jack; her three children; stepchildren: Jack McCamly Jr. and Amber Petersen; grandchildren: Hanna Anderson, Carter Hall, Elliot, Joey and Lola McCamly, and Fynlee Tweeter; step grandchildren: Sadie (Chris) Elston, Damon, Eathan, Brooklyn and Alayna Petersen;  great grandchild, Sophia Elston; two siblings: Rodney (Cheryl) Paul of St. Lawrence, SD and Janet Hofer of Sioux Falls, SD; and many nieces and nephews.

Bev was preceded in death by her father, mother, and a great niece, Kennedy Alfson.

A Funeral Service was held on July 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Concordia Lutheran Church, 307 Swift Ave in Cresbard, South Dakota 57435

    Tony and I send our condolences. We know she had quite a struggle with her health. We are thankful that we got to know her – actually both of you before you left our RV park.
