J. Quentin Worth, 85, of Aberdeen, formerly of Gettysburg passed
away, Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Aberdeen Health and Rehab.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Gettysburg with Pastor Don Watt and Pastor Tom Haggar officiating. Burial followed in the Gettysburg Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Luce Funeral Home, Gettysburg with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service.
James Quentin Worth was born January 23, 1925 west of Gettysburg to John Fredrick and Robbie M. (Harvey) Worth. He attended school through the 10th grade. Quentin then went to work with his father on the family farm.
On June 5, 1949 he married Eileen Ruth Boke at the Congregational Church in Lebanon. They made their home in Gettysburg where Quentin continued to farm, work for the Implement and lastly for the Potter County Highway Department until his retirement in 1988.
During his retirement years Quentin enjoyed time spent driving tractors, watching TV, working word puzzles, attending car races, and listening to organ and country music He attended the Gettysburg United Methodist Church and the First United Methodist Church in Aberdeen and was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge.
Quentin enjoyed every part of his life and when asked what he would change he said not a thing. He was very proud of his three loving and independent children, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Quentin’s life is left to be cherished by his spouse Eileen of Aberdeen; two daughters: Marcia (Lester) Urban of Watertown and Roxie (Brad) Olson of Aberdeen; daughter-in-law: Nancy Worth of Clark; his six grandchildren: Cory (Jill) Worth, Brent Urban, Emily (William) Cordell, Gina (Bradley) Enstad, Jonathan (Megan) Olson and Erin Olson; six great grandchildren: Caitlin and Jeffrey Worth, Hunter and Mason Cordell, and Mackenzie and Madison Enstad: his siblings: Dean (Dottie) Worth and Dorothy J Worth all of Gettysburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Rickey Worth; one grandson: Jeffrey Worth; two brothers: Wayne and Robert Worth; and five sisters: Florence Stankey, Myrtle Mertz, Katherine Mangin, Lucy Worth and D. Lorraine Schnunner.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Quentin’s arrangements.




Quentin loved life and lived it with his family and friends. His sense of humor was always present.
He will be missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
