To the Mikkelsen family my thoughts and prayers to you. Mike was a great man and neighbor and a friend to all. So sorry.
Carol and I would like to pass along our condolences to you and members of the Mikkelsen family on the passing of your father, grandfather, and patriarchal head of the Mikkelsen family. During our seven years in Agar, Margaret and Mike were great supporters of the Hi-Pointers as they followed our teams wherever we traveled. Mike convinced both of us that it would be a great thing if we joined a mixed doubles bowling league in Gettysburg–what a great time we had getting to know Mike and members of the Mikkelsen family. Being able to coach Steve, Jerry, and Jay during our time in Agar, provided us additional time to get to know the Mikkelsen family. Having Margaret take care of Julie and Shari when we chaperoned the Hi-Pointers to the state "B" tournament in SF was special for each of us as Margaret and Mike were "used" to caring for boys and to take care of girls was something new to both Margaret and Mike. So many happy moments, so many memories–boating at Sutton Bay, cross country and track meets, state track champions, and the list goes on. May the Good Lord grant you peace and smiles on your face as you recall all of the positives of a life well lived and shared with everyone that Mike came into contact with.
We are so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. We were neighbors for over 60 years. He was a kind and pleasant man and a joy to visit with. Lyle and Mike had many of the same interests; cards, bowling and auctions. They saw each other a lot. May your memories give you peace knowing he is in a much better place.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Mikkelsen family! 🙏
Our Prayers are with you all
Margaret and sons (Steve, Jerry, Jay, Michael, and Kelly) we were so sorry to hear that Mike had passed. We were such a close knit community and shared so many wonderful memories at Cass School, Agar High School and in the farm community. I enjoyed watching the Memorial Video…it brought back so many good thoughts of times we spent with your family, as neighbors, classmates, and as a baby sitter. The video shows what a wonderful life Mike and Margaret had with their 5 sons and their families. Clearly he loved his family. I'm proud to have known Mike, and hope that the joyous memories you have of him give you peace as you celebrate his amazing life. With deepest sympathy and Semper Fidelis, Sheryl (Bouchie) & Freddie Murray Retired US Marine Corps
Margaret and sons — we are so very sorry for your loss. Mike was an honorable man and a great neighbor. So wonderful to grow up with your family with some early babysitting while the boys were young. After we joined the USMC, we were proud to know Mike had also served in the Marines. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Berva (Bouchie) and Joe Noone.
