Wicahpi Yamni Hoksila Big Eagle was born March 31, 2021 Mitchell, South Dakota To Jeryssa Chris Big Eagle and Ray Johnson.
Wicahpi was such a happy baby. He loved to smile at everything, coo, laughing, and would suck on his bottom lip as he starting teething. He would hold his little hands together, learning how to use them. The moment he would wake up he always looked around for both of his parents and would start kicking when he made eye contact. He loved to be held and put his arms up for Ray.
Time was too short, we wish we had more time with Wichapi to walk amongst the star camp, to hold you again, to see your face. We want to tell you how much you are already missed, to hug you tightly until that moment. We do not want to let you go, but we know we have to give you a long enduring kiss and a long hug and wish Tunkshila would let us return to see you again.
