Paige Winkler, a woman of unwavering faith, love, and grace, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2023, at the age of 87 surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Paige’s Life will be 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the Community Church of St. Lawrence with Nathan Nye officiating. Paige will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Max Winkler, in an intimate ceremony at Piedmont Cemetery at dusk.
Born in Cadott, Wisconsin to Rev Orville and Luella Peterson, on January 16, 1936, Paige was the embodiment of kindness and devotion throughout her remarkable life.
Paige's journey was deeply intertwined with her devotion to her faith, a commitment that began in her early years and shaped her character for a lifetime. Her connection with the divine was a guiding force, providing strength and purpose to her every endeavor.
In 1951, at the tender age of 15, Paige attended a church camp where she met the love of her life. Their connection blossomed into a timeless love story, culminating in a joyous union in 1957. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, and even after the passing of her beloved husband Max 16 years ago, Paige continued to carry the flame of their shared commitment and memories in her heart.
Paige is survived by her four children, Tamera and the late Kenny Selting, Debra and Donald Nye, Becki and Troy Nickels, and JR and Denise Winkler. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a loving sister Jinny Lundberg, two devoted sisters-in-law Verna Winkler and Mavis Walhert, a caring brother-in-law Rev. Dennis Walton, nieces and nephews and their respective spouses. Each member of her extensive family was touched by her love and wisdom, creating a legacy that will endure through generations.
Beyond her familial roles, Paige was a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration to all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and love were beacons that guided those fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Courtyard Villa Assisted living home Bingo Fund in Paige's memory.
May Paige Winkler's soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were touched by her extraordinary life.
