Dexter Hoberg, 80, of Highmore and formerly of Volga, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Highmore Health.
Services will be held in the spring. Burial will be at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis.
Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Dexter's arrangements.

Dex always had a joke and could take a joke..enjoyed listening to him reminisce about friends, hunting and fishing
Dex always was good for a laugh. And when he laughed and threw his head back it just made you laugh too. RIP Dexter.
Dexter was always a joy to visit with. I will miss him.
I enjoyed visiting with Dex and will certainly miss him at the home.
It was a nice honor to get to know Dexter. He loved to visit and we always had fun sharing fishing stories. Going to miss you.
Lots of good memories of trips with Dexter to about every lake in eastern South Dakota. Catching lots and lots of fish having lots and lots of laughs and his dog Bo. Bo would stand on the dock at Prestrude’s landing waiting for us to come back. Dexter was a good man. I will miss him. God bless you, my friend in your big hunting ground in the sky.
RIP Dex! It was an honor to get to know you and become friends with you! I met you at a time in my life that I needed a friend of gentle guidence and good humor in my life. I will miss our chats about life & fishing/hunting, I'm also gonna miss our cigarette & cigar visits.
