Nancy Bartlett

Nancy J. Bartlett, 64, of Gettysburg, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the United Methodist Church, Blunt with Pastor Kippy Udehn presiding. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Blunt. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Nancy Jean Bartlett was born July 20, 1960, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre to Donald and Florence (Uecker) Bartlett. She spent her early years in the DeGrey area. Nancy attended school at Hayes, SD, Stanley County, and Prairie View.
Nancy loved to ride horses, fish, and do crafts. She spent many hours with her sister, Janice, putting puzzles together. She also made several quilts, sewing them by hand.
She was a member of the Helping Hand Club and enjoyed going to meetings. She stacked lots of wood. If she had your address and knew your birthday and anniversary, you received a card from her.
Nancy is survived by her mother, Florence Bartlett; sister, Janet Bartlett; brothers: Mike and Kirby (Susan) Bartlett; nephews: Brett and Bart (Mary Elizabeth) Bartlett; niece, Anita Bartlett; great niece, Arden Renee Bartlett; and pet dog, Waggy Tail.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald; sister, Janice Bartlett; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Nancy’s arrangements.

Nancy was an “Earth Angel” finding joy in sending birthday, anniversary and Christmas cards and letters to brighten others lives. We were blessed to receive them every year.
