Beth Bowar, 103, of Faulkton, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Faulkton Senior Living.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2024, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Faulkton, with Fr. John Short presiding. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery, Faulkton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Beth L. Ruhlman was born June 29, 1921, in Miranda, SD to Morris and Myra (Tanner) Ruhlman. She attended school in Miranda and graduated from Faulkton School and Nettleton Business College, Sioux Falls.
Beth worked at Faulk County State Bank, Faulk County Register of Deeds and the ag office. She married William Bowar on August 26, 1946, and together they welcomed five children.
Beth was the oldest member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, St. Thomas Altar Society, charter member of the Catholic Daughters, as well as the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary.
Those left to cherish Beth’s life include her children: Patricia “Patti” Huss, Faulkton, Margaret “Peg” Bowar, Tulare, Anthony “Tony” Bowar, Bosie, ID, and Cathleen “Cathi” (Dana) Legner, Rapid City; daughter-in-law, Barb Bowar, Maple Grove, MN; sister, Ruth Yada; ten grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and eight step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Myra Ruhlman; husband, William; son, John Bowar; son-in-law, Jerry Huss; and brothers: David and Donald Ruhlman.
Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Beth’s arrangements.

Prayers of comfort and sympathy for you all in the death of your mom. she was such a nice lady. and always someone i enjoyed visiting with when returning to faulkton.. Her and our mom had been been friends for along time.
