She was an active member of the Deed-a-Nite Extension Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Hyde County Historical & Genealogical Society, where she recorded the genealogy of both her and Melvin’s families.

In their later years, Violet and Melvin were enthusiastic members of the Hyde County Senior Citizens Center, enjoying social activities and games with friends. Additionally, Violet worked as an Avon representative for the ladies of Highmore for 33 years.

In 2013, after living in their home for 50 years, Violet made the decision to sell and move to Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley in Apple Valley, MN, where she resided in their independent senior living facility. Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We have missed her since she left Highmore. I remember Vi from church choir, she was also our elementary substitute teacher and friend. She and mom were good friends. Mom was the older friend it seems. Praying for the family. God bless.

  2. To all of Vi's family, you are in my prayers for peace and for comfort. I remember Vi from when I was a kid as an Avon lady and as someone who always dressed "classy". She was a kind lady and I will be sure to treasure those memories of her.

  3. Mel and Vi building their new house was a big deal, but the best of times were when they were our next door neighbor, A big hug to all the Pfeifer crew.
