Theresa Comes, 59, of Chaska, MN, and formerly of Little Eagle, SD, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, MN.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. MDT on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Little Eagle, SD. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Theresa Marie Comes was born on October 10, 1965, to Martina (Red Legs) Hawk Eagle and Sylvester Comes. She was raised in Little Eagle, SD. Theresa earned her GED from Sitting Bull College and went on to study business technology there. She was a loving mother to six children: Codi and Shane Comes, Jerome Yellow Earring, JoLanda, Ronica, and Richard Gerry.
Theresa was deeply connected to her culture and fluent in the Lakota language. In 2002, she moved to Minnesota, where she met and married the love of her life, Ignacio Ramirez. Together, they enjoyed traveling, exploring new places, and spending precious time with their grandchildren.
Theresa had a passion for sewing and was known for her tidiness and organizational skills. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was cherished by many friends and family members. Thoughtful and generous, she always brought gifts for others. She had a big heart and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Theresa is survived by her husband, Ignacio Ramirez; her children: Shane Comes, Jerome Yellow Earring, Codi Comes, JoLanda Comes, and Ronica Gerry; and her beloved grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Martina Hawk Eagle; her father, Sylvester Comes; and her son, Richard Gerry.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Theresa’s arrangements.

Sending Deepest Condolences out to her Family, kids. Sorry for ur loss. She was a very kind, loving lady. We were frenz back n our teenage years. It been years since I seen her last. I always thot of her, wondered ware she was. Now that I know ware she was, she left this world. She had jokes. We laughed alot. Them r precious memories I will keep her close n my heart.
