Delores Rivera

Delores Rivera, 67, of Nevis, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025, at her home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. MDT, Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the CRST Bingo Hall, Eagle Butte. Burial will follow in LaPlant Congregational Cemetery, LaPlant. A wake will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the bingo hall with a procession from the 4-Mile at 4:00 p.m. 

Delores Marie Rivera was born in Saint Paul Hospital on November 28, 1957. In the beginning she had a hard life and overcame it with the love that she received from her family. A life of hardships made her into a strong, dependable person who never faltered in any situation she was put into. 

Delores was known for her unwavering strength, compassion, and tireless devotion to those she loved. Her presence was a constant comfort in the lives of many, and she was surrounded by her loving family.

Delores grew up with a strong sense of responsibility that guided her throughout her life. From a young age, she embraced hard work. Her work ethic was unmatched, and she took great pride in being someone that others could depend on.

Family was the heart of Delores’ world. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, she poured her love and time into creating a warm and welcoming home. Her generosity, wisdom, and endless patience touched countless lives and left a legacy of kindness that will live on.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished with all her heart. She also leaves behind her husband, siblings, numerous nieces and nephews.

We thank the Creator for bringing her into our lives, blessing us with her warm embrace and compassion. Her legacy and the lessons that she taught will be passed on forever.
