Marjean and Tom were married on October 10, 1955, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Miller. They began their life together helping her parents on the family farm. Work took them to Denver, Colorado, where Marjean worked for a life insurance company. In March of 1956, they moved back to the family farm in Orient, SD. In 1964, they had the opportunity to purchase the family farm from Marjean’s parents. Marjean and Tom raised their children together and created many memories on the farm. In 1977, the family moved to Gillette, WY, where she worked for the News Record for 20 years, retiring in 1999.
Marjean enjoyed retirement, traveling to the lower 48 states, Alaska, and Canada. She played and coached softball for over 30 years, both in South Dakota and Wyoming. In 1995, she was inducted into the Wyoming softball hall of fame. Marjean’s greatest joy in life was her family and attending the activities of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Good bye for now. You will be missed. You always brought fun, positivity, and laughter to visits or phone calls. The sound of your laugh will stay with me until we see each other once again. Our family chain is broken but one day it will link again. Love you forever.
My sympathy to the Rogers Family. I have good memories being around her with softball. She spread her passion for the sport and we all benefited from it!!!
Marian was a very special person. We knew that we would always get a good laugh and a good time with her. Prayers for Tommy and family as they go through this difficult time.
Dear Tom & family: We are so sorry to hear that Marjean has passed away. I know we haven’t kept in touch for a few years. I think the last time we saw you was at my Uncle Alfred’s funeral. My Mom, Elizabeth died in 2016. Our thoughts & prayers are with all of your family!

My sincere sympathy to Tom and the family. For the little time I’ve known Marjean, she was a beautiful lady inside and out. May your beloved memories of her live on forever. God bless you.
To all Rogers Families: Sorry to hear about Marjean. Rob, are you still living in Sioux Falls? Our oldest son, Darwin still works @ Target on Louise Ave. I miss the good Old Days in Miller/St. Lawrence, SD. I have lots of arthritis —nearly the whole body, so it's hard to get around w/o cane/walker. Traveling out of town is difficult.
Our thoughts/Prayers for the Rogers Family!
Marjean was such an awesome lady. As a neighbor, 4 H leader, choir leader and softball coach, she was always busy and I loved her laugh. RIP my friend
Marjean…. So much fun, kind, positive, and a wonderful friend to many. I think of all the softball times, the experience of celebrating her in the Wyoming Hall of Fame, camping and family fun. I am extending condolences to all family and friends. RIP Marjean
