Where does one begin the story of a man after Godโ€™s heart? One who never claimed he was perfect, yet humble. Letโ€™s go to the end rather than the beginning. On Friday evening, November 14, 2025, Randolph said to his niece Vida, โ€œItโ€™s time.โ€ He wanted so much to see the dogs first. A few hours later, he breathed his last and left peacefully according to the nurse. He wasnโ€™t alone, for God was with him. The same night, it rained in our area although not forecasted! The Lord reminded us he will catch every tear drop in his hand!

On November 2, 2025, Randolph gave his last message to the church and prayed for us. He would say lately, โ€œThat was a good service.โ€ As Lowell, Myron, and Jerome noticed his strength becoming less, he was taken to the ER and transported to Monument Health Hospital. Randy enjoyed going for rides out of town, staying in contact with friends and watching the dogs play.

Over the years, we have experienced changes, especially with the loss of family. Yet, it was the partnerships and evangelism Randy truly enjoyed. He was happy when we traveled together whether for presents for the children or posting flyers in the region. Having the opportunity to evangelize on several reservations and churches in MD, VA, ND, AL, DC, OH, TN, MT, MS, or Christian based gatherings elsewhere, was his calling from the Lord.

Randy loved dogs as his friends to the very end and was greeted in Heaven with no more suffering, no more tears, no more sickness. He was and is a beautiful part of our lives, which we will cherish and treasure eternally here on earth until we meet again. Thank you, Jesus, for giving us Randy, for a brief moment to encourage us to keep running the race. We love and miss him.

Randy was preceded in death by Herman Slides Off Sr., Marlene Blue Coat, Emery โ€œBig Eโ€ Slides Off, Evelyn Slides Off, Herman Slides Off Jr., Raejean โ€œRJโ€ Slides Off, Rita Slides Off, Karstin Slides Off, Brookeโ€™Lynn Jade Hernandez; paternal grandparents: Owen and Elsie (Clown) Slides Off; maternal grandparents: Samuel Blue Coat and Evelyn High Elk; and numerous friends and relatives.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Randolphโ€™s arrangements.
