Robert Miller, 45, of Portland, Oregon, passed away January 12, 2026, in Portland.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, June 26, 2026, at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miller with Pastor Will Page officiating.

Robert Gene Miller was born on March 7, 1980, in Watertown, SD, to Terrie (Tusha) and Bob Miller.  When Robert was 5, they returned to Miller, SD, where he went to school from kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating from Miller High School in 1998.  He spent a great deal of time with his grandparents, Keith and Cecilia, helping out at their business, the Dari-O.  Robert was always very bright in school and had an artistic streak, performing at Arts in the Park during high school with friends.

Robert is survived by his mother, Terrie of Miller, SD; brother, Jeremy (Darla) Miller and niece, Cecilia of Harrisburg, SD; uncle, Paul Miller of Olive Branch, MS; aunt, Linda (Mike) Manning of St. Lawrence; cousins: Jeff (Laura) Swartz of Miller, Jason (Wanda) Swartz of Aberdeen, and Jessica (Jerry) Van Zee of Miller, SD; aunt, Gayle (Tusha) Anderson of MN and Linda (Tusha) Mike of WI; adopted mother, Jan Evelyn of Portland, OR; and best friend, Misti Koeck.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; grandfather, Keith; grandmother, Cecilia (Marlatt) Miller; uncles, Glenn and Brad Miller; grandfather, Fred Tusha; grandmother, Rena (Reitsma) Tusha; aunt, Karen (Tusha) Nicklason-Wood; and uncles: David Tusha, Bradley Tusha, and Ronnie Tusha

Reck Funeral Home of Miller is assisting the family with advertising services.
