Born in: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Resided in: Highmore, South Dakota

Michael Winn Berkebile, a precious 20-week gestational infant, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

Private graveside services were held at the Highmore Cemetery in Highmore.

Michael was born on June 23, 2026, to Aaron Berkebile and Kaydence Wentlandt at 5:50 pm. He weighed 248 grams and measured 9 inches long.

Although Michael was only able to spend 15 precious minutes on this earth with his parents, he was surrounded by immeasurable love from the very beginning. From the moment Aaron and Kaydence learned they were expecting, Michael was deeply cherished and already held a special place in their hearts. Though his time here was brief, the love he brought into the lives of his family will remain forever.

Michael will always be remembered as a treasured son whose life, though short, left an everlasting imprint on the hearts of those who loved him.

He leaves behind his parents; grandparents; and aunts and uncles.

Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Michael’s arrangements.
