Corrine Anderson

Corrine M. Anderson, 80, of Faulkton, passed away, Monday, February 25, 2013 at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital, Aberdeen.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2013 at the United Church of Faulkton with Pastor Bill Hoffman officiating. Burial followed in the Faulkton Cemetery. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services at the church.
Corrine Marie Metz was born October 26, 1932 to Ervin and Irene (Mowry) Metz at the old Faulk County Hospital in Faulkton. She spent her childhood on a farm four miles west of Miranda. She attended the Ross Country School and Faulkton High School.
On November 25, 1949, Corrine was united in marriage to Melvin Anderson at the Methodist Parsonage in Faulkton. They lived in Faulkton their entire married life, raising three children: Tom, Cindy and Kathy.
She began working as a deputy clerk in the Faulk County Clerk of Courts Office in 1962. In 1989 she was appointed Clerk of Courts and retired from that position in 1995.
Corrine enjoyed flowers, ceramics, baking and music. She was proud that her children and grandchildren were all hard working, upstanding citizens in the world today. They were the biggest joys of her life.
She was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary, Historical Society, Arts Council, Shirk Home Auxiliary, Faulkton Hospital Auxiliary and a past Easter Seal secretary. As a child, Corrine attended Miranda Methodist Sunday School, Bible School and church. She later joined the United Church of Faulkton.
In 2010, she entered the Faulkton Healthcare Center, where she was a current resident.
Corrine’s life will be treasured by her husband, Melvin “Andy” of Faulkton; son, Tom (Brenda) of Camino, CA; daughters: Cindy (Jerry) Wildberger of Sturgis and Kathy Biedenfeld of Faulkton; her sisters: Beverly Brewer of Faulkton and Margie (Tom) Hansen of Huron; her grandchildren: Debra (Paul Fay) Runner of Cambridge, NE, Mark Biedenfeld of St. Paul, MN, Todd (Michelle) Biedenfeld of St. Anthony, MN, Andy Wildberger of Sturgis, Maggie Anderson of Camino, CA, Tina Waring of Miller, Anita (Dale) McMillin of Black Hawk, and Karla Wildberger (Dean Boles) of Tucson, AZ; her great grandchildren: Dusty & Cody Runner of Cambridge, NE, John, Jake, Patrick, and Paul Waring of Miller and Alan McMillin of Black Hawk and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother and sister in infancy; and a granddaughter, Dawn Biedenfeld in infancy.
Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Corrine’s arrangements.

Got know Corrine really well when she joined my mother on her dialysis days. She was a great, easy going lady, who will be missed alot. My prayers go out to all of her family members.

I don’t have to tell you what a wonderful and delightful lady Corrine was to everyone. She treated my mother and family very well and I enjoyed my resent visits with her. She will be greatly missed but she leaves a lasting memory in this world. One that will be cherished by family, friends and the people that she met along her way. God Bless you all.
Dear Anderson Family, Please accept my condolences over the loss of your loved one. The Bible shows us in 1 Corinthians that death will soon be destroyed by Jehovah God forever. This hope is extended to all mankind; including, Mrs Corrine. May Jehovah God comfort you and your family during this sad time.

Corrine will be missed by so many at the dialysis unit! I have enjoyed getting to know her over the years and will really miss our talks. Please remember how proud of you she was! She was such a wonderful lady and very concerned about all those whom she loved. Know that God is right there with all of you and I know you will be reunited with your wife, mother and grandmother someday!

My sympathies to the family. I have wonderful memories of Corrine when we were neighbors. Especially her flowers and the pond in the yard. I remember her always being sweet and kind. God Bless.
