Dale Duchscherer, 49, of Red Scaffold, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1:00p.m. MDT, Tuesday, April 29th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Red Scaffold with Fr. Brian Lane and Deacon Ted Knife, Sr. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Red Scaffold. A prayer service was held at 7:00p.m. MDT, Monday, April 28th at the church.

Dale Allen Duchscherer was born July 7, 1958 to William and Cleo Ann (Golly) Duchscherer at Velva, North Dakota. He attended school in the Velva, ND area. Dale moved to the Red Scaffold area in 1998.

Dale has based his life around kids. His kids were his pride and joy and he was ecstatic for the success. He also enjoyed working mechanics, cutting wood and always helping other.

Grateful to have shared in Dale’s life were he wife: Sheila Collins of Red Scaffold; daughters: Mary Duchscherer, Dale Duchscherer and Dayne Collins all of Red Scaffold; son: Charles Brown; father: William Duchscherer of Minot, ND; mother-in-law: Phyllis Collins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter: Aspen Rose Duchscherer and mother: Cleo Ann Duchscherer.

Casketbearers were Shane & Pauline Oakie, Buddy Burkett, William Collins, Jake Burkett, Mary Burkett, Greg Burkett, John & Dee Hiserote, John & Joseph Broome, Joe Bailey & Sons, Garland Bethal, Ike Iron Hawk, Ted Knife, Sr., Brian Charging Cloud, Ziggy Hollow Horn, Tom Collins, Abe Red Bull and David Collins.

Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with his arrangements.

  2. I am deeply sadneded by Dale’s passing,I always enjoyed talking to Dale and enjoyed his company,Dale is a cousin on my dad’s side of the family. he will be dearly missed by me!,one of the last times I spoke to Dale was at a Gas Engine Show in Mt Ida Arkansas,,Sincerely Jim W. Martin
