Dana Patton, 81, of Miller and formerly of Colorado, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Society in Miller.

Dana was cremated and no services will be held.

Dana Lu Patton was born on October 15, 1944, in Monte Vista, Colorado.  The daughter of Guy and Luella Patton.  Dana graduated from Alamosa High School, Alamosa, Colorado, in 1962.  Dana grew up with horses throughout her early years and continued to have a love for horses throughout her life.  Dana had several professions throughout her life as a beautician, copy repair technician, and retired as the supply clerk for Adams County (CO) Detention Facility.  She loved the outdoors and spent most of her free time traveling, fishing, and camping.  Her favorite place was Estes Park, Colorado.

She is survived by sister-in-law, Janean Meacham of Helena, MT; nieces: Gina (Emerson) Schenck of Highmore, SD, Michael (Janet (Meacham) of Ft. Bragg, CA, Marlene (Kevin) Deis of Park City, MT, and Lori (Stephen) Ferguson of White Oak, TX; and many great nieces and nephews.

Dana was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Luella Patton; brothers: Glenn (Maralyn) Meacham, and Marvin Meacham; and beloved niece, Cynthia Proctor.

Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Dana’s arrangements.
