Danny Lee Worth was born in Pierre, SD on July 3, 1959, to Derwin and Dolores (Sutton) Worth.  He grew up on the family farm near East Whitlock Bay where he resided until his death.

Danny attended grade school at Sanner Country School. Danny graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1977. He played baseball from Little League through Legion ball.  He was a member of 4-H and enjoyed gardening.  He played 5x5 softball and was an avid bowler even attending national bowling tournaments in Las Vegas and Niagara Falls. He bowled league in Gettysburg until the 2020 season when Covid shut down the bowling alley and his knee started giving him problems.  He loved the game and enjoyed his teammates.

Danny loved the farm and continued farming/ranching with his family, Dale, Dolan, Bart, and Preston, until his death.  Danny headed the cattle portion of the 4D Ranch operation, attended many cattle sales, mended fences and pretty much decided whatever needed to be done regarding the cattle. He helped with the hogs and the crops whenever and however needed.  He loved to hunt, fish, and trap.

Danny enjoyed visiting with people.  He had a great sense of humor and anyone who knew him knows his laughter was contagious!  Most late afternoons or evenings you could find Danny at Bob’s Resort visiting with his many friends, and you could hear his laughter from wherever you were sitting.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Derwin (1988) and Dolores (2013); sister-in-law, Gail (Dave) Worth (2015); uncle, Lyle Sutton (2017); and aunt, Julie (Jim) Sutton (2021).

He is survived by his four brothers: David, Eagle River AK; Dolan and wife Susan (Heier), Delvin and wife Rene (Lake), and Dale, all of Gettysburg; nieces and nephews: JaiDee Worth, Sioux Falls, Jim Worth, Eagle River AK,   Bart (Carmen) Worth and their children Preston Worth, Gettysburg and Paige Worth, Aberdeen;  Heather (Mick) Kennedy, Harrisburg and their children Lexi (Dallas) Hilkemeier, children Cayden and Zane, Omaha NE, and Kaci Kennedy, Sioux Falls;  Mandy (Aaron) Walberg, Aberdeen, and their children Aaron Jr., Ft. Benning GA, Russell and Madelyn, Aberdeen; Elissa (Dominic) Porreco of Thornton, CO, children Rose and Bodhi; and Jay Worth, Gettysburg; uncle, Jim Sutton; aunt, Deanna (Lyle) Sutton; and cousins: Steve Sutton, Tanya Yackley, Scott Sutton, and Tammy Withers.
