Doris Rediger, 86, of Albany, Oregon and formerly of Miller, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Oregon.
Graveside services were held 10:30a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2007 at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miller. Visitation was held from 3:00-5:30p.m., Friday, December 7 with a 5:30p.m., prayer service at Reck Funeral Home in Miller.
She was born September 1, 1921 in Miller, South Dakota to Sanford and Matilda (Jacobsen) Hines. She grew up south of Miller and attended St. Lawrence High School, graduating in 1939.
Doris married Millerd Rediger on September 4, 1941 in Miller, South Dakota. Millerd and Doris farmed north of Miller until his death on May 26, 1995. Doris moved to Albany after that to be near family for the last 12 years. Millerd and Doris were members of the Miller Mennonite church and later the Miller Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jim & Sheryl Rediger of Salem, Oregon, Terry & Jerilee Rediger of Ritzville, Washington, Kevin & Kit Rediger of Albany, Orgeon, Joanne & Mark Mitchell of Lebanon, Oregon, Merrill & Renee Rediger of Albany, Oregon, and Ray and Gwen Rediger of Everson, Washington, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brother, Tom Hines of San Francisco, California and sisters, Mazie Rediger of Albany, Oregon and Helen Fawcett of Miller, South Dakota.
