Emerson Andrew Red Bull, 86, of Bridger, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the Philip Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. MDT, Friday, September 11, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bridger, SD, with Fr. Ron Gary, Fr. Matthew Fallgren, Deacon Ted Knife and Deacon Harold Condon officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Wake services was held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the church.

Emerson Andrews Red Bull was born July 6, 1923 at Bridger, South Dakota to James and Louisa (No Flesh) Red Bull. He grew up in the Bridger area where he worked as a ranch hand for many of the area ranchers.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews.

Emerson is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Edward, Jacob, Guy, Daniel, Ernest, Elmer and Joe; brothers in infancy: David and Jesse and one half sister: Fannie (Red Bull) Clown Horse.

Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with Emerson's arrangements.
