Emma Kapri Red Elk, stillborn infant, was born February 4, 2009 at the IHS Hospital in Eagle Butte, SD to Terrain Sara Wolf and Peyton Red Elk.
Funeral services for Emma were held at 1:00 P.M. MST, Saturday, February 14, 2009, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte, with Mother Marion Rechtenwald, Reverend Norman Blue Coat and Iva Traversie.
There was a procession from the four mile at 10:00AM.
Burial followed at the Green Grass Cemetery.
Emma was the youngest of three children. Her siblings are Treton Wyatt and Joshua Lane Cincere. Although we were not given the chance to know Baby Emma, she will be greatly missed by all who love her very much.
Emma is survived by her parents: Terrain Wolf and Peyton Red Elk; brothers: Treton Wyatt and Joshua Lane Cincere Red Elk; maternal grandparents: Charlotte Wolf, Mike (Florence) Running Wolf, Teddy (Roberta) Wolf, Wesley (Doris) Wolf and Aaron Roberts; paternal grandfathers: Richard Red Elk, Bucky (Malinda) Means and Stanley (Elizabeth) Moran; paternal grandmothers: Patricia Red Fox and Veronica Holy; aunties: Arlana Curley, Lynn (Alton) One Feather, Jory Wolf, Ashley (Joe) Uses Knife and Amber Red Elk; uncles: Dain Curley, Chauncey, Bennett and Severt Red Elk; great grandmas: Beatrice Phillips, Cora Marshall, Margie Clown, Ruby Red Dog, Carol Ann Thompson and Rose Bad Hand; great grandpas: Joe Milo Blue Coat, Norman Blue Coat and Elmer Traversie.
Emma was preceded in death by her paternal great great great grandparents: Robert and Lillian (Horse With Horns) Blue Coat; great great grandparents: Robert Jr. and Irene Blue Coat, Alberta Blue Coat; great grandfathers: Steve Red Fox, C Robert Hale and Roy Circle Bear; grandmas: Harriet “Happi” Blue Coat and Barbara Blue Coat; grandpa: Marvin Holy; uncles: Joshua T. Guerrero and Corey Holy; auntie and cousin: Robin and Telleson Bad Male; maternal great grandparents: Eva Roberts and Francis Running Wolf; grandpa: Leonard Wolf; auntie: Venessa Wolf and uncle: Francis Wolf.
