Garrett "Dutch" Jager

Garrett Wayne “Dutch” Jager, 85, of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Avera Oahe Manor, Gettysburg.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring/Summer of 2023. A private burial will be at the Gettysburg Cemetery.
Dutch had a lot of pride in his hometown of Gettysburg, where he resided for his entire life. Dutch always had a smile on his face. He was a hard worker, enjoyed conversing with people and traveling around town in his pick-up truck.
Dutch is survived by his niece, Susan Waterman; nephew, Joseph (Kathy) Hirtzel; and their respective children.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Dutch and Shirley Jager; sister, Shirley (Richard) Hirtzel; and his niece’s husband, Stephen Waterman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Dutch’s memory to the Avera Oahe Manor, 700 E Garfield Ave, Gettysburg, SD 57442.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Dutch’s arrangements.

I am sad to learn of the death of "Little Dutch". He always had a smile and was ready for a chat. You never knew where you would meet him in town in his pickup. He has joined his family. RIP
