James Morrison, Jr.
April 14, 1929 ~ January 3, 2010
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Eagle’s Wing Baptist Church in Dupree, with Pastor Sam Owen officiating. Burial followed in the Morrison Family Cemetery at Red Scaffold with military honors.
James was born April 17, 1929 in Long Valley, SD to James, Sr. and Martina “Alice” (Saloway) Morrison. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
James married Amelia Creek, and to this union 14 children, 62 grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren were born and their first great-great grandchild is due in March.
Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with James' arrangements.
