James Sargeant
October 4, 1932 ~ December 15, 2008
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ft. Thompson. Burial was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Stephan, directed by Luze Funeral Home of Highmore. Visitation began at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2008 with a 7:00 p.m. wake service at the church.
James William Sargeant was born on October 10, 1932 to Lucy Swift Bird and Steven Sargeant. Jimmy was very proud to have served two tours of duty in the Korean War in the 82nd Airborne. Mary Pomani was his lifelong companion after his divorce from Verna Roulard. He has two sons, Thomas Sargeant of Germany and Nathan Withorn of Rochester, MN.
Jimmy had a great sense of humor and loved to tell stories with each of us.
He will be greatly missed by his two sons, Thomas Sargeant and Nathan Withorn; all his nieces and nephews but especially Marie Charger, Marion Middletent and Dominic Red Water, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Andrew Sargeant; sisters: Alvira Sargeant, Ruth St. John, Cecelia Middletent, Rose Howe, Mary Red Water, Caroline Howe, Elizabeth Rabbit and Mildred Rabbit.
Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Jimmy's arrangements.

Jimmy was always a good guy with a good sense of humor. I will miss him. But know he is in a better place having the time of his life.

My condolence and prayer are with you. Remember what your feeling I am also feeling the same because I just recently lost my Jada Rose: 11 year old too. God will never give up anything we can’t handle.
