Kurt Snow was born July 5, 1953, in Faulkton, SD to Veman and Rose (Gabriel) Snow. He received his education from Onaka and graduated from Cresbard High School in 1971.

In 1975, Kurt met and later married Gail Meister. They were married in Aberdeen and made their home in Faulkton.  In his younger years, Kurt enjoyed participating in demolition derby’s with his brothers and friends.

Kurt went to work for a short time for his uncle with Gabriel Construction before starting his 47-year career of hauling milk around the area. He has had the privilege of seeing many industry changes with employers. He started with Hartley, which then became Land O’Lakes, CPC, Logistics, and JB Hunt before retiring in June 2019.

Hauling for all of those years surely never left much time for hobbies, however when he did find the time, Kurt enjoyed hunting and fishing. He and Gail also greatly enjoyed the time they were able to spend with their grandson, Austin.

Kurt received many awards during his time driving. He was awarded Driver of the year (2016), National Diver All-Star Award (2016), and 3 million miles accident-free Award (2016).

Kurt’s life will be forever cherished by his wife, Gail Snow of Faulkton; daughter, Krystal Schultz (Warren Van Westen), Sibley, IA; son: Kent Snow (Liz Cunningham), Faulkton; grandson, Austin Snow, Faulkton; siblings: Vern (Elaine) of Tolstoy, Dixie Allbee of Aberdeen, Dianne Grismer and Gary Snow of Henry, Darold Snow of Aberdeen, David (Darla) Snow of Watertown, Colette (Troy) Neiman of Aberdeen, and Lori (Kevin) Kaiser of Tolstoy; sister-in-law, Sally Snow of Faulkton; and mother-in-law, Glenda Meister of Faulkton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ronnie Snow; sister, Renee Morgan; and three brothers-in-law: John Grismer, Harley Allbee and Richard Morgan.
